Paul Cohen – Sr. Project Manager, Principle Construction Corp.

James A. Brucato and Mark E. Augustyn, owners of Principle Construction Corp., are pleased to announce that their firm has hired Paul A. Cohen as a Senior Project Manager.

Paul Cohen brings with him more than 26 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus in the areas of tenant improvements, additions, renovations, and estimating.  As Senior Project Manager at Principle, Paul provides pre-construction, construction and post-construction services.   Included in these services are primarily due diligence, pre-design, value engineering, estimating, management of subcontracts and providing a smooth transition from construction to occupancy.

Most recently, Paul Cohen worked as a Project Manager at Restoration Systems, Inc. He has also worked with Centaur Construction, Fairbanks General, Inc., and Soodan and Associates in  project management, estimator and site inspection roles.  Some of the major projects Paul Cohen has worked on over the years include a $14 million estimate for the renovation of the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago, a $750 million RFQ for a West Bank/Gaza multi-building and infrastructure project, a $1.6 million dollar tenant improvement for a Morgan Stanley Smith Barney tenant improvement, a $13.5 million dollar prototype police station for the City of Chicago, and several bids for renovations to Fresenius Medical Care’s suburban locations in the Chicagoland area.

Paul Cohen holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an Associate’s Degree in architecture from Southern Illinois University.  Paul is 49 years of age and resides in Elmwood Park, IL.
